Writer's Statement
Any writer's goal should be to put the audience in the shoes of their characters, but I aim to explore stories not often told. I believe compassion is our greatest strength and I aim to use it to foster a more understanding world.

As someone who feels very in-tune with their emotions, I've always been drawn to personal stories. Inspired by the medium of film, I'm looking to explore the deeper aspects of humanity, such as grief, love, purpose, and identity, among others. The stories I write are often character driven, because I believe characters help turn the inward outward.

I grew up inspired by the Star Wars and Marvel franchises. Although these films are often overlooked in contemporary analysis, I still hold them close to my heart. The beauty in franchise filmmaking is the ability to broadcast human problems within grand fictional worlds. Gods with 9-5s. Being able to resonate with these larger than life characters can be very emboldening. Having absorbed these films for countless hours, I posses a great passion for ambitious storytelling.
